Spring Break! There’s bound to be some lovely days ahead.
The clocks sprang forward, the sun is bright, and the snow has stuck around – phew! Cain will open for SPRING BREAK this coming weekend! T-bars start spinning on Saturday March 16th and will continue every day until the end of day Monday March 25. Come up and enjoy the sunshine and spring skiing.

Yes, we know it’s been a short season, so we are jamming in all the fun we can with our next event KIDSFEST coming up March 30th. We will be open for the Easter long weekend Friday, March 29 – Monday, April 1st, Darren tells me we can expect all our favourites at KidsFest this year including snow sculptures, ski racing and FIREWORKS! – Thank you, Rock Pro!
The event’s team has a few other tricks up their sleeve for Kidsfest, but you’ll have to wait until next week for the full reveal. If you would like to volunteer for KidsFest please email danonson@mountcain.com to get involved.

You might be wondering how all the Viking warriors did last week slaying the snow, tugging of the war, and raising money through silent auction, beer sales, and raffles. Well, I can tell you Horns were heavy, War cries loud, Viking fashion on point! We raised $8600! Many in the Cain crowd went home with great prizes. Thank you to our sponsors, our staff, our volunteers and our participants who made this Backcountry x Viking Fest weekend one worthy of shouting SKOL!
The real time weather says it’s just below 0 degrees on the ridge run, and there hasn’t been any rain this week. So go polish your sunglasses, check your ski wax, and put on your Demin – it’s Spring Break it’s going to be a lovely day! A lovely day, lovely day!
