Wrapping up an amazing holiday break at Mount Cain! Big thanks to our volunteers, staff, and everyone who travelled from near and far to ring in the new year with us.
Our holiday season kicked off with our opening day on December 28th and we were skiing through until January 5th. The mountain was full of smiles, laughter, and good times.
As the bull wheel turns… Big shoutout to the crew who got L3 back on track with a new motor just in time for New Year’s Eve! A massive thank you to Tony P, Dave H, Lucas S, James H, Dean D, Jean-Luc P, and Christian T for their hard work.
We kicked off 2025 in style with COVE from Quadra Island at Turk’s Tavern. It was everything we anticipated (and more)! The drinks were flowing, the dance moves were questionable, and the laughter and smiles were contagious. To top it off, the sky joined the dancing with an incredible Northern Lights show that made ringing in the new year even more magical.
If you missed out on the party (or just want to relive it), be sure to check out COVE on Spotify and social media for some tunes to keep the good vibes going: COVE on Spotify, COVE on Instagram and COVE on Facebook.
Mark your calendars—Saturday, January 18th is the day! It’s time to get those racing skis waxed and ready to fly because the Cain Cup will be here before you know it. Who will be crowned King and Queen of the Mountain? The fastest racers will earn their spot in Cain history, with their names engraved on the Cain Cup trophy (which resides in the lodge at Turk’s, no big deal).
We’ll see you this weekend – we’re open Saturday and Sunday full mountain, and this Monday, January 11th, we’ll be open for Magic Monday with lower mountain lift access only. The perk of this is half day pricing, so come on out and enjoy some time on the mountain without breaking the bank.
The fun’s just getting started – we’re going downhill from here.
Here’s to snowy days, good times, great memories, and an epic 2025 ahead!
Cheers,
Kim
