This past Saturday marked the official close of the season at Mount Cain, and what a beautiful sendoff it was. The mountain gifted us one last golden evening, with a stunning sunset lighting up the parking lot as folks gathered for one last evening together, soaking in the final moments of our season.
It’s a bittersweet feeling—the lifts have stopped spinning, the T’s are off the line, and the snowcats are catching a well-earned nap in their sheds after a big winter of work. Skis are stashed, winter gear’s packed away, and a lot of us are back at sea level getting our hands dirty in the garden and soaking up that sweet spring sunshine.
On behalf of the Board of Directors, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you. Mount Cain is more than just a ski hill—it’s a community. As a not-for-profit association, we truly rely on the energy, spirit, and support of everyone who comes together to make this place what it is. Your smiles, laughter, and love for Cain is what keeps this place alive.
A massive shoutout to our incredible volunteers, hardworking staff, and the vibrant Cain community—we couldn’t do it without you.
Until next season, enjoy the sunshine and stay in touch. We’ll be counting down the days until we’re all back up there together.
Signing off with a full heart,
Kim
