… …to stop kids of all ages from enjoying the thrills of Cain. And with lots of snow and VERY cold temperatures, there are thrills to be found around every corner. We are open every day until January 3 and the road is in great shape, so dress warmly and join us for some exciting winter adventures.
We would love for you to ring in the New Year at Cain, but Covid the Party Pooper has put a damper on things and there will not be a party at the Lodge. You can, however, dine at Turks Tavern every day if you are fully vaccinated (6 people per table limit), so come by for some sweet and savoury delicacies.
The dogs of Mount Cain have requested, again, that the Board ban all fireworks at Cain, including New Year’s Eve. Fireworks are terrifying for our canine friends, so the Board has agreed to this request. Please do not set off fireworks on New Years or any other time. One dog was lost last year and we do not want that to happen again. If you are a dog owner, please take extra care on December 31st and make sure your dog is inside or tied up, just in case someone does not adhere to the fireworks ban.
Covid has not stopped (at least not yet) our Special Events, starting with the Cain Cup on January 22. Open to skiers and boarders over 16, this is a fun race for everyone with the fastest qualifying for the title of Queen or King of Cain. You can find more information here. All race participants must be vaccinated.
Masks are required when you are inside any building. Masks are encouraged in the lineups, on the lifts, and whenever you are around people. If you are not feeling well, please stay home and join us when you feel better. We are following the provincial health order and will make changes to keep our staff, volunteers, and guests healthy and happy. Check the website for changes in our Covid protocols.
See you on the slopes,
Jen
