Yesterday we received an unexpected gift – SNOW! Tomorrow morning at 9:30, the Upper T and the Bunny Hill will be operating. The ticker booth will open at 8:30, and everyone must have a ski pass.
Unfortunately, we are still waiting for parts for the Lower T, so it will not be running until the parts arrive (hopefully by next weekend). But have no fear; we are here the support your skiing addiction. Drop off your skis or boards at Ski Patrol, and they will be shuttling gear to L2 (top of the Lower T) at 10 am and 1 pm. So after a hearty breakfast at Turks Tavern, take an unencumbered scenic walk up the hill, strap on your skis or boards and make your way to the Upper T. You will not regret it.
If you are one of the many people who prefer to skin up (a great way to shake off any residual effects of your New Year’s libations), please use the Ridge Run or the Lower T line. All skinners must have a pass.
Some accommodations are available, and because of the late notice, we are allowing single-night reservations for this weekend. Just visit our website to book a room.
The Cove, a five piece band (trombone, saxophone, bass, electric guitar, and drums), will be playing at Turks Tavern tonight to welcome in the New Year. Turks will be open until Monday afternoon. If you miss the party tonight, you can always swing by for a beer snack tomorrow evening. There is always something interesting going on at the Lodge.
As 2022 comes to a close, I want to send out my gratitude and appreciation to all the people with big hearts dedicated to keeping this little ski hill running. Whether you are a Board Member, staff, or volunteer, your dedication is greatly appreciated. We would not be the quirky little hill we are if not for you.
Happy New Year, everyone. Have fun and be safe.
See you on the slopes,
Jen
