Olympic athlete Spencer O’Brien will be showing her film Precious Leader Woman at Backcountry Fest!
The festivities begin on Friday evening at 7:00 with an outdoor movie. There will be backcountry workshops, a beacon field complete with rescue scenarios, and more on Saturday. Check out our website for more details. And when your legs are tired, and the T Bar shuts down, come to the Beer Garden for some tunes, nibbles, and great beer. Spencer will be showing her film on Saturday, so stay tuned for more details.
The Beer Garden is located next to the Lodge and has the same covid protocols, so you know the drill: you must show proof of vaccine to enter, wear a mask when walking between tables (a real mask, not your shirt pulled over your face), and only 6 people per table. I know we are tired of covid and all the rules, but we need to keep this up for a bit longer, so please be gracious and kind to those who enforce the rules. While you are at it, be kind to everyone else, too – the world is a crazy place right now, and we all need a little Mount Cain magic to help us through.
It is 2°C on the Ridge Run and there is a 166cm base. We expect warm temperatures and sunshine this weekend, so pack your sunscreen and shades and come on up. Why? Because every day is a great day at Cain.
