December 15, 2021 Game on! There is 140 cm of new snow at Cain, the groomers are preparing the hills, Jamie in the Cafe is ready to cook up a storm, and the Dark Matter beer is chilling. Now before you get all excited and start loading your gear in the car, here’s a bit of a refresher to get you back in a Mount Cain state of mind.
- Campbell and company clear the roads on Thursday and Friday. Please do not drive up the road till 2:00 pm on Friday;
- Chains are mandatory;
- This year we hope to bring order to the parking lot chaos, so please read this to learn how and where to park when you arrive. New this season we will have a parking lot attendant;
- The t-bars and handle-tow run from 9:30 to 3:30;
- We pride ourselves on our unique schedule, so please check out our schedule to see which days we are open;
- The ticket booth is open Friday from 7 to 9 pm and again on Saturday morning at 8:30;
- You can now buy tickets online (Mount Cain 2.0!);
- We would appreciate it if you would keep your distance and wear a mask when in the line-up and riding the lifts;
- Only fully vaccinated people are allowed in the Cafe. Please bring your proof of vaccination;
- If you are planning to skin up, it must be outside the orange boundary lines on the Ridge Run and you may not ski down inbounds without a lift ticket;
- The groomers work when the T-bar is closed so, please do not skin up after hours;
- Dogs, yet again, must always be on a leash.
- Fun is at the core of everything we do, but safety comes first. Play safe, boys and girls.
Mount Cain is a magical ski hill built on the kindness and generosity of everyone. Please be a part of the magic by following the rules, lending a hand when help is needed, and showing compassion to your fellow skiers and boarders. Let’s make the 2021/22 season one for the books.
See you on the slopes,
Jen
