…but it’s not here yet. There has been a wee bit of rain in the past few weeks and there is not enough snow so Cain will not be open this weekend. But never fear, temperatures are dropping, and there could be some snow coming soon. Weather updates can be found here.
Disclaimer: Mount Cain cannot be held responsible for any injuries incurred from excessive refreshing of the weather updates.
So while we are waiting for the snow, here are a few things to remember:
We are still living in a time of Covid, so we have another year of hanging out far apart. The Board is putting the finishing touches on the Covid protocols as I am writing this and they will be published on the website soon.
The Ski Shop has some kick-ass masks, so make sure you pick one up to stop the spread of Covid in style.
In the coming weeks, the Board makes the call each Wednesday if the mountain will open. The decision will be communicated through our newsletter, Facebook, and Instagram, so sit tight and stay tuned.
We are hoping to bring some order to the chaos of the parking lot (ambitious, I know). Please be nice to the parking lot attendant and let them show you where to park and/or camp when you arrive.
The road is in great shape, but you must have chains and know how to use them. Please brush up on your skills by doing a practice run in your driveway before heading up the mountain.
We look forward to seeing you at Cain soon,
Jen
