This week we may have a mystery instructor who will take you on a merry ride on our mountain of fun!
This Sunday we are back on for lunch in the lodge- Sharon should have her sense of humor back by then!

Powder Puppies and Powder Hounds Alert!
Coming to your own Mt.Cain this Sunday we have the 'Terrible Three Wicked Dudes'.
Just in case you are out of the loop- they are
o Mad Max D.- racer and freestyler
o Killer Kelly G.- racer and hellhound extraordinare
o Terrible Travis A.- scary!
These guys will be on your case, big time - doing the big time moves...........and you think you ski well ?!
Depending on conditions you will be freeriding, skiing gates, and trying to keep your bucket on!
If you are on a board- do not think you will get off lightly! You will be made to shake, rattle , and roll!
Be there or be square!

Update: January 28th, 2010
I would like to give everyone an update on events coming up for the rest of our season.
The Season has been going along very well, snow has been falling when we needed it the most. With few exceptions, the operations are running smoothly like a well greased wheel, thanks largely to great staff, and in no small part, to all you volunteers!
Our New Hostel Accommodations Building has been a hit. As more visitors are finding out about it, we are booking up. This is proving to be a great asset to the mountain, a very comfortable place for our visitors to stay and help to complete their enjoyment of Mount Cain. As well, the Hostel Building is a welcome help to reaching a sustainable source of additional revenue.
Upcoming events:
Mount Cain Master Plan Update Open House
Ministry of Tourism, Culture and the Arts (MTCA), Resort Development Branch, is conducting a review of
the Master Plan Update for the Mount Cain Ski Area
A Public Open House has been scheduled from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm on Saturday, January 30th, 2010 at the Woss
Lake Elementary School located in Woss, BC on Macrae Drive (keep left after train tracks crossing).

Closing weekend: The Mount Board has decided to have our last weekend run Friday, Saturday and Sunday, April 2,3 &4th
This is Easter weekend, and we hope to see everyone come up and enjoy and long weekend of snow fun. On Monday, April 5th we will be closing the mountain, and putting everything to bed. Volunteer help is always welcome!

Mount Cain Alpine Park master plan update summary, January 30th at 4:30pm at the Woss elementary school, public welcome. An info session will also be held on the ski hill at 2pm the same day in the meeting room (above new ticket booth) or in the lodge.

Kids Fest postponed, we have postponed kids fest from this comming weekend until a later date. The new date will be posted on this website ASAP.

Bluebird opening weekend! We have just had our first weekend of the season! A bluebird opening! Snow forecasted for the comming weekend! Colder temperatures as well. Stay tuned, and check the snow report closer to this next weekend for more information!

New website launched! It's finally here, the new Mount Cain website is here. The new design is to make the site more user friendly. All of the information that was on the old site, you will find here on the new site as well, but it might be under a different tab or menu that it was before. As this is a new site, there will be bugs off the get go, if you notice anything, such as a broken link, or something that doesn't look right, please let me know right away by emailing me at brycemancell@hotmail.com. Some pages are still under construction such as the gallery, videos and photo uploading pages, but I should hopefully have those up and running in the near future. In the meantime, photos are still being posted on the photos page, so send in your photos of the hill to photos@mountcain.com, be sure to include your name, and when the photos were taken.
